Counseling & Psychological Services
The professional staff at Counseling & Psychological Services (CPS) offers FREE, confidential counseling to eligible students, and provides counseling on a limited basis for a fee to MSU faculty/staff.
We have a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all people, and strive to create an environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel welcome, respected and understood.
While we do help those in crisis or distress, we also provide services to those who wish to prevent their concerns from developing into more serious problems.
The staff at CPS works to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming environment that reflects our appreciation for human diversity. We strive to create an environment of mutual respect and understanding among people of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, spiritual, and national backgrounds. This also includes various identities regarding sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, mental and physical ability, language, age, socioeconomic status and other diverse backgrounds and cultures. We attempt to provide culturally-sensitive services that embrace these multiple identities, and support inclusivity on our campus.
